brain game imitates life!
Wednesday, Apr. 20, 2005 | link

Wow, it's amazing, perhaps suspiciously so?, how apt the description of "Evany the Game" is to "Evany the Girl Who Yesterday Managed to Fall off her Clogs While Just Walking Around Her Apartment and Now Has a Deep and Black Bruise on Her Left Knee":

Evany: Key to a Distant Land
"The rescued world of Evany is not the place of renewed peace and hope you would hope for. Instead, people silently wander or sit motionless, lacking in thought and motivation. It's up to you to find out what's happened...

Though some might consider Evany a standard adventure affair with no ground-breaking features, its sci-fi-themed story and backdrops make it a unique quest that gamers will become completely embroiled in.

There are a massive 47 different locales, all told. All are interactive, vibrant and filled with life. You'll look for clues, chat with native NPCs, and partake in some very technical and environmental puzzles.

Essentially, it's a brain game. You might even call it an interactive novel. But whatever your perspective on Evany, you can be rest assured of a smart and gripping adventure."
